On a revisit to the mechanic he noted the timing belt to be off allignment by a notch and this fix greatly improved the vibration; however, I still notice a marked increase in vibration if I ad any load to the engine at idle speed, such as turning on the a/c or blower.

WebMay 3, 2009 · the most common cause of problems after a t-belt replacement is caused by using the wrong marks on the crank and cam sprockets. with a broken belt it's usually bent valves. the test will show which head/cam has a problem, maybe both, and then take it apart to double check the timing marks. if the timing is correct, it has to be bent valves. Installing a timing belt off one or two teeth happens, it is easily checked by lining up the engine at TDC and checking the timing marks. So a few easy checks and the mechanic will know if the valves are bent or the belt is installed 1 or 2 teeth off. WebAug 3, 2015 · Anyways, I went and replaced the timing belt, water pump and oil pump. After it was replaced, I noticed the car was shaking in idle and on gear, very little on gear 1.5k - 2k RPM. My mechanic told me it could be the wires, so I replace the wires, the plugs, coils, etc.. He told me to clean the injectors with Seafoam and put super unleaded.
